An easy alternative is reaching it by the sea with a boat from the port of Karavostasis. The rugged scenery of barren rocks at the edges of the beach, a boulder amidst the cove, clear waters in every shade of blue and small pebbles will exceed your expectations. Since Katergo is on the exotic side and not organized, if you want to visit the area, you should bring all the necessary (sun umbrella, water, food) with you.
