Although the official name of this sandy beach is Platia Pounda, it became widely known as “Italida”, (“Italian woman” in Greek) because the owner of the estate above the coast is Italian. It is one of the most crowded beaches of the island, boasting emerald and lapis-hued sea and the reputation of the most beautiful beach in Koufonisi. If you do not choose to access it by boat, you can approach Italida in about 30′ from Chorio. Right beside it, naturists will find their perfect spot in the quiet cove of Italidaki.
