Eggares is the richer flat village of Naxos. It is governed in the Municipality of Naxos and is found in western Naxos, few kilometres north of Naxos city and right afterwards of the village Peacefulness. From Eggares goes through the western road axis Country Naxos –Eggares – Apollonas . A big part of agricultural products of Island they emanate from this village. Also near Eggares and Peacefulness there is one of the Aeolian parks of Naxos. Characteristic is the stone built square of village where dominates also the Temple of Village which is dedicated in the Dormition of Virgin Mary.
