Chalki is found in the basin of Tragaias in the central area of Naxos in distance 16 kilometres from the city of Naxos. It is a particularly beautiful and fertile village that distinguishes for the architecture of houses,which is characteristic samples of neoclassicism ,that shows the economic robustness that knew the village in older seasons. In the village apart from public school it has also high school. Also there are a lot of churches from the Byzantine period. The holy temple of village (Virgin Mary Protothronos) is dedicated in Evangelism of Virgin Mary.
