Archaeological Site of Zagora
Andros, GreeceAt Zagora Peninsula, the archeological site which is set in Stavropeda area, a settlement of the Geometrical times was found (10th – 8thbC century) which was protected by a wall of 110m long and 3m high. In the settlement was found a sanctuary of the 8thbC century which operated until the classical times in spite of the fact that the settlement was abandoned three centuries earlier. The various findings in Zagora, such as jars, tools, jewels, recipients and representations of the Temple and a residence are exhibited in the Archeological Museum of Chora.
