Archaeological Museum of Tinos
Tinos 842 00, GreeceSince the beginning of the 60’s it has been storing significant archaeological findings from all over Tinos. Among its exhibits you will see domestic functional items from various periods, headstones, amphoras, jars from Geometrical era, busts of the Hellenistic times and ancient coins of the island. It worth seeing the storing pithoi from the holy place of Demetra and Kori at the bottom of Xobourgo which date back in the archaic period (8th-7thbC century) as well as Andronikos’ clock from Kyristos. At the patio of the museum, you will find parts and sculptures from the temple of Poseidon and Amphitrite in Kionia.
