According to the census of 2001 was 474 residents.The village has become a major tourist destination for families because of quiet beaches available (St. Nicholas, Aliki, Piso Aliki), the taverns and festivals organized in the village in June (feast of St. John the locks), August 6 (of Christ) and September 14 (the Cross). In the village there is the Museum of Cycladic Folk artist and folklorist M. Skiada.
